Producers of Tunisha Sharma’s show Alibaba: Dastaan-e-Kabul deny reports of fire on the sets, confirms Alibaba: Ek Andaaz Andekha going off air

Producers of TV show Alibaba: Dastaan-e-Kabul and Alibaba: Ek Andaaz Andekha, Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez have denied the reports of fire on the sets. It was reported that a massive fire broke out in the Bhajanlal Studios in the wee hours of Saturday and destroyed the sets where Tunisha Sharma died by suicide. Parvez said, “Our set is completely fine. It happened on another set.”

Srivastava clarified that the studio they are shooting in has 11 floors and the fire broke out on a deserted floor. He said, “We shoot on one of the floors. So the fire was caught on another floor. We were shooting outside (when the incident happened) and thank God for that.”

As per the fire brigade officials and media reports, the fire broke out at the studio located in Kaman, Vasai, on the outskirts of Mumbai at around midnight on Friday. The fire brigade was successful in putting out the flames by 4am on Saturday. The cause of the fire has not been identified till now.

Earlier this month, reports of Alibaba: Ek Andaaz Andekha going off air had come out. Srivastava confirmed the reports and said, “Yes it is going off air but in the month of June. We will wrap up by the end of this month. The shooting dates may differ a day or two.” Tunisha and Sheezan Khan used to play the lead in Alibaba: Dastaan-e-Kabul but after former’s suicide and latter being taken into custody, the show was revamped with Abhishek Nigam and Manul Chudasama in the lead roles.
