Renowned actor Nitesh Pandey passed away at age 51 on the night of May 23 at a hotel in Igatpuri near Nashik, Maharashtra. He suffered a massive cardiac arrest. Survived by his wife Arpita and son Aarav, he was cremated last evening in Mumbai.
Nitesh acted in several Indian TV shows and films, including the ongoing daily soap titled Anupamaa. He was close to the lead actress of the show, Rupali Ganguly. Before his funeral, Rupali visited Nitesh's bereaved wife and son at their residence. The actress got emotional. In a viral video, Rupali was seen trying hard to fight back her tears and gracefully handled the unwanted paparazzi attention.
In a statement post Nitesh's untimely demise, Rupali said, "He was the only industry friend who stayed constantly in touch with me apart from Delnaaz and Sarabhais, during my sabbatical. He had even come to meet me after Rudransh was born.I can’t believe this! His son Aarav is just a few months older than Rudransh. He had messaged me just last week about a painting he had made and we had made plans to make our sons meet."
