Opening up the treasure chest yet again, Lakme Fashion Week’s Summer/Resort 2020 season gave us a lot to look forward to. From fresh fashion on the block to our favourite brands returning to the aisle with their new, exciting collections, we saw all this and a lot more at the runway.
Kick-starting Day 1 on the right note, the Gen-X talent gave us a fresh, new vision on contemporary fashion.
Pastels and monochromes, subtle prints and minimalistic embroidery made the most of Abhishek, Kanelle and Anurag Gupta’s collection. Easy, breezy and too cool for the summer, wouldn’t you agree?
The INIFD Launchpad showcase was a unique collaboration of fashion designers and interior designers, highlighting the relationship and connection shared by vogue and décor.
While Vaishali S’ collection was equal parts ethereal and charming, Swapnil Shinde’s collection was outright bold and badass! While the former was all about delicate work and traditional heritage, Shinde’s collection was straight out of a rock concert, inspired by all the powerful women out there.
The AJIO showcase, #LongLiveBold revamped our definition of athleisure and we’re certain we’re going to be seeing a lot more of this! Rakul Preet added to the charm as the showstopper for this millennial showcase.
Celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community, Manish Arora’s ‘WE ARE FAMILY’ broke stereotypes and highlighted the edgy vibe of street style and fluid fashion. A borderless, gender fluid, inclusive assemblage, the showcase embraced the creative energies of LGBTQAI artists and performers.
