Finale day for this season…can’t believe the week has come to an end already! It’s right what they say, you don’t know you’re living the best days until they’re over. But it’s not over yet…Day 5 at the runway was a power-packed, treasure chest with all the sartorial grenades waiting to go off at the runway.
Here’s all that went down on the last day of the much-exciting Summer/Resort runway:
The 6Degree Studio presentation, featuring Krsna Couture, Pearl & Hariom, Siddh Couture and Rajni Suyach was a banger beginning to the final day.
Featuring menswear and some more, the Tisa, Amaare and Kunal Anil Tanna showcase revamped the definition of men’s festive-wear, with the shaadi season ahead of us.
Bingo boys, you did good!
Mrunali Rao, Pooja Shroff and Sunaina Khera showcased their delicate and very feminine but ethereal collections at the runway. Floral prints, pastel hues and traditional silhouettes with a twist made for most of the festive-wear presentation.
P.S- the red-hot Sunaina Khera bride was definitely the highlight of the show!
Rajdeep Ranawat’s collection was more about wild prints and gypsy silhouettes, featuring some traditional lehengas as well; while Taneiya Khanuja presented a technicolour collection of structured ensembles, that surpassed one’s imagination.
Kunal Rawal’s off-site show was yet another banger presentation of how glamour and heritage, fused with subtlety and charm are the key elements that define one’s festive wardrobe. From sharp sherwanis and Nehru coats to bad-ass lady-suits and printed jackets, we saw it all!
End it with a bang, they said…and Amit Aggarwal did just that! Defining the future of fashion and beauty, Lakme X Amit Aggarwal showcase was just the epic ending we needed after this splendid season. The showcase displays the designer’s ability to shape materials to his imagination, which was exactly what he did on the runway. The showstopper for the Grand Finale and the face of Lakme, Kareena Kapoor Khan did the strut for the designer and oh boy, this is just the closure we needed for this epic Summer/Resort season.
This is it, this is where it ends, leaving us with a bitter-sweet feeling as always! We simply cannot wait for the next season, what about you?
