Giving supermodel Bella Hadid, Irina Shayk, Kendall Jenner a miss for a while, Balenciaga’s Demna Gvasalia introduced The Simpsons- Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and others on the runway of the Paris Fashion Week! For its Spring/Summer 22 Red Carpet collection on Sunday, October 3, 2021, the Spanish luxury house delighted its attendees with a surprise Balenciagax Simpson 10-minute presentation.
The presentation started with Homer Simpson writing a letter to Demna’s ‘Balenciaga-ga’ to gift any gown with a price tag on to his wife Marge for her birthday. Moved by his gesture and her love for the brand, the designer invites the entire town to model for his pieces at Paris. The guest cameo featured an animated Anna Wintour, Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian as well.
Along with the special presentation, the luxury label invited its celebrity friends like Lewis Hamilton, Cardi B, Offset, Elliot Page, Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, Amber Valletta, Law Roach, Isabelle Huppert and others to model few pieces from its latest collection. Demna himself donned the famous Met Gala’s head-to-toe Balenciaga look again.
No new to experimentation on the runway, Balenciaga has done it again and we are stunned with its creativity. What are your thoughts?
