It’s not every day that you turn 100 and so the house of Gucci went all out to celebrate their centennial with a sartorial bang. The Italian fashion house unveiled a spectacular fashion show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 2, 2021.
Hundreds of GG monogram director chairs were lined up to witness the models sashayed down the boulevard in Alessandro Michelle’s latest collection. Called the Love Parade, the brand’s extension of 100-year anniversary celebration, Alessandro curated a spectacular show with celebrity friends in the audience as well as on the runway. Billie Eilish, Awkwafina, Gwyneth Paltrow, Dakota Johnson, James Corden, Paul Mescal cheered from audience seats for House of Gucci star, Jared Leto, actors Macaulay Culkin, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, and Steve Lacey amongst many others who set the ramp on fire.
The collection exuded good old Hollywood glamour with 70s-inspired suits, glamourous gowns, latex, sheers and cowboy hats hogging the limelight. What came as the surprise were the sex toys such as butt-plug necklaces that induced an element of erotica and seduction to the whole collection.
After a hiatus of 2 years, an electrifying fashion show was back in the form of Gucci’s Love Parade and it had everything we needed to see. Leaving no stone unturned the creative genius put forth a presentation that will remain ICONIC, for years to come… Catch the entire show below:
