The much-awaited sartorial extravaganza that is the latest edition of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022 keeps getting better with each passing day and Day 4 of this soiree stands enough proof. On Saturday, March 26 we witnessed glamour unfold on the runway with Tarun Tahiliani’s latest collection.
Tarun’s latest offering, a Luxury Pret collection was a beautiful expression of modern India, which is global at the same time.
The collection unfolded in all its glory that showed the amalgamation of modern and traditional silhouettes with technology and aerodynamics. The runway witnessed a generous dose of glamour in form of structured drapes, metallic kaftan gowns, fusion jumpsuits and separates along with tulle gowns and lehengas.
Men’s line consisted of layered kurta sets and sherwanis along with bandgalas that added to the plethora of options of festive wear this wedding season.
Adding to the show glamour were elements like mesh and tulle fabrics, intricate embellishments and delicate motifs. The collection featured fabrics woven with a Zari thread and Resham to create metallic textured sheen and look like molten metals. The colour palatte ranged from pristine ivory to molten gold, moving further to metallic black.
Ending the presentation with a bang was actress Kriti Sanon in a strapless black corset gown elevated with mesh details and embellishments. The tulle dupatta warped around her arms added a traditional touch to her modern look.
