On the ball! That’s what Gaurav Gupta seemed to be as he showcased his collection at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week at Jio World Centre. Well, you saw that gigantic ball on the wide ramp.
Actually, it was an orb that emitted an other-worldly feel with the models on the move around it. Actor Sidharth Malhotra was the fitting showstopper.
Presented by Nexa, Gaurav Gupta’s collection encapsulated the meteoric sensibility through crystal burst embroideries, a celestial colour palette and astronomical construction.
Adorned with thousands of crystals, scattered on bare skin like shooting stars, the show radiated iridescence at this last show at nightfall.
It was couture as both fantasy and out-worldly, surrounded by an orb-like energy that immersed the packed house and transported them to a land, untouched and unseen.
