Shimmer and shine was what it was with actor Huma Qureshi as showstopper for Nachiket Barve at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week at Jio World Centre. She made a style statement in a razzle-dazzle magenta, heavily encrusted, embroidered lehenga and long-sleeved choli, complemented with a matching, sheer, organza, ruffled dupatta.
Ephermera was the title of the collection that was joyful, festive and contemporary. It was all very elegant ad sophisticated with timeless silhouettes and feminine styling. The inspiration was the poetic transitions in nature and patterns of the ocean, tides on shores, along with meteor showers in the sky, blooms, sea anemones and tidal currents.
Delicate detailing was on view with a medley of cutwork, thread embroidery, interesting appliqué techniques, along with splashes of colourful beading.
There was also menswear that was restricted to black, embroidered, bundi, buttonless jacket, kurta, sheer shirt and trousers.
