Early Friday morning, the news of Kushal Punjabi's death shook the industry. The actor, who was a known face on television as well as films, reportedly committed suicide on Thursday night. As per sources, Kushal was battling with depression and left behind a suicide note, which was discovered by the Police. The note claimed 'no person should be blamed' for his death. As per latest developments, on Thursday night around 11 pm, Bandra Police received a call from Kushal's residence, informing that his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
Sources suggest that Kushal's parents were trying to reach out to him via phone call. However, when he failed to respond to their multiple calls, they asked Kushal's friend, TV actor Chetan Hansraj to visit his residence and check regarding the late actor's whereabouts. Chetan, who is believed to have an additional key to the house, opened the door, just to find Kushal hanging to the ceiling fan. Bandra police informed that the body has been taken into custody for post-mortem reports. Sources further informed that Kushal's wife Audrey Dolhen isn't in the country as of now. Speaking about his personal life, sources said that Kushal was going through a separation and was about to lose his child- Kian's custody.
Kushal, apart from being a renowned TV actor, starred in films like Lakshya, Kaal, Salaam-e-Ishq among others. He was a fitness enthusiast and began his career as a model and choreographer. He started off his TV journey with A Mouthful Of Sky in 1995 on Doordarshan. Over the years, he starred in shows like Kasamh Se, CID, Fear Factor, Kya Haal, Mr. Paanchal? amongst several others. The news about his death was confirmed by his friend, Karanvir Bohra on Friday morning.
