Amit Tandon, who rose to fame with Indian Idol and then ventured into TV, is currently in the news owing to his wife Ruby.

Reportedly, Amit’s wife, who is a dermatologist by profession, is in serious trouble and is currently behind the bars in Al Raffa Jail in Dubai. It is being said that Dubai Health Authority officials accused Ruby of threatening a few government officials and Amit is making desperate efforts to get her out on bail.

“Yes, she is still there and we are trying our best to get her out soon. I will be flying to Dubai next week to once again plead for her innocence,” shared a distraught Amit to a leading daily. He also mentioned on how some influential people, who couldn't stand Ruby's rising success have managed to put false accusations on her and due to the same, she has been held in remand for over a month now. He concluded by saying that he has full faith in the law and hopes that justice serves right and Ruby will be allowed to come back to India and continue her work and be with her daughter, who has been missing her a lot.

Not known to many, but Ruby has a flourishing career in Mumbai with television celebrities clientele like Mouni Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Iqbal Khan, Vikram Bhatt, producer Suhana Sinha.

Amit and Ruby have been married for ten years and the couple has a seven-year old daughter. Reportedly, the two have split and filed for a divorce some time back. However, none ever came out in open and divulge the details about the same.
