Amit Tandon popularly remembered as  Indian Idol's participant went on to do a couple of serials later. Currently seen on Ekta Kapoor's Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Amit in real life, is dealing with severe lows.

The actor's wife Ruby Tandon has been jailed in Dubai and to his hard luck, Amit hasn't been successful in helping her out.

Ruby, a dermatologist by profession, was in Dubai for her work and due to a certain Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Ruby had been alleged of threatening a few government officials. Ruby appealed for bail which got rejected and Amit then flew to Dubai to release his wife.

Ruby's bail plea was rejected earlier this week. Amit later returned to Mumbai, disappointed. When reached out for a comment, the actor didn't revert to any messages.

Amit earlier told an online portal on how he is extremely saddened on how a genuinely positive and hardworking woman like her has been put through such turmoils. He also mentioned on how some influential people, who couldn't stand Ruby's rising success have managed to put false accusations on her and due to the same, she has been held in remand for over a month now.

For the uninitiated, Amit and Ruby have a while ago filed for divorce after a courtship of 10 years. They have a 7-year-old daughter as well.
