Armaan Kohli arrested by Mumbai police for domestic abuse against partner Neeru Randhawa

After being accused of domestic violence by his live-in girlfriend and designer, Neeru Randhawa, the former Bigg Boss contestant, Armaan Kohli was finally arrested by the Mumbai Police.

It is learned that the actor's phone calls to his family and other acquaintance were traced to a Lonavala farmhouse which belongs to his friend which is where Armaan was taking shelter. He is now in the Mumbai Police's custody and has been taken in for further questioning.

On Monday morning of June 4, Armaan and Neeru had an argument over monetary issues following which the actor got really aggressive. He banged Neeru’s head on the floor and beat her mercilessly with a belt. She suffered a deep head injury and was admitted at Kokilaben hospital. Since then, a case had been registered against Armaan at the Santacruz Police Station under sections 323, 326, 504 and 506.

The designer has also alleged that Armaan was under an alcohol influence when he first beat her up and then tried to throw her from the first floor of his bungalow. Reportedly, Neeru also admitted that this isn't the first time the actor has hit her.

However, soon after, it was reported that Armaan felt deeply sorry for his actions and reached out to Neeru via text messages asking for forgiveness.

When Armaan's father, filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli was questioned about his son's whereabouts, he had denied having knowledge about it.

A leading daily report had quoted Neeru as saying, "I manage Armaan’s villa in Goa, which is often rented out, and had made a booking for a client. However, the client had made the payment to the villa staff and when Armaan asked me about the money, I told him that I will ask the staff to transfer it. Suddenly, he started verbally abusing me. Before I realised what was happening, he caught me by my hair and banged my head against the floor. I begged him to allow me to go to the hospital, promising that I wouldn’t approach the police. The wound was so deep that I had to undergo a surgery. The doctor told me that the scar would be visible even after the surgery, as the assault has damaged my skin tissues. Armaan has been sending me text messages since Sunday, asking me to come back home, and he is even promising to marry me right away, but I have had enough!"
