Obscene video shoot case: Goa court grants bail to Poonam Pandey and husband Sam Bombay

Poonam Pandey and her husband Sam Bombay courted fresh controversy for shooting for an 'obscene' video in Goa. The couple was arrested on Thursday for allegedly trespassing on a restricted dam site in South Goa. A few hours later, Poonam and her filmmaker husband Sam have been granted bail.

On Thursday evening, the Margao Magistrate court granted bail to Poona and Sam. The court instructed them to Rs. 20,000 each. In addition to this, they have to appear before a local police station every day for a week and till then, they can't leave Goa.

According to a leading daily's report, the Canacona police, on Wednesday, filed an FIR against Poonam after complaints by angry citizens and state water resources department which manages the Chapoli Dam, where the obscene video was shot. Superintendent of Police (South) Pankaj Kumar Singh told media that Poonam and Sam 'sneaked' into the restricted area during early hours on October 31 to shoot the video. 

Reportedly, sections of the Information Technology Act, sections related to trespass and the Indecent Representation of Women Act were added to Poonam's case.
