Kangana Ranaut brewed a fresh controversy on Twitter amid the ongoing farmers' protest in Punjab and Haryana. The Bollywood actors waged war against those supporting farmers, including Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh. Now, as the tussle continues, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has issued a notice to Kangana seeking an apology for her derogatory tweets against farmers and activists protesting against the three agricultural bills passed in the parliament by the ruling Government.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, president of DSGMC, tweeted, "We have sent a legal notice to @KanganaTeam for her derogatory tweet calling the aged mother of a farmer as a woman available for 100. Her tweets portray farmers protest as antinational We demand an unconditional apology from her for her insensitive remarks on farmers protest."

Kangana, in a now-deleted tweet, misidentified a woman farmer as Shaheen Bagh activist Bilkis Bano. She tweeted alleging that Shaheen Bagh dadi has joined farmers' to protest against the new bills. Retweeting a post with pictures of the two elderly women, Kangana wrote, "Ha ha ha she is the same dadi who featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian.… And she is available for in 100 rupees. Pakistani jurno's have hijacked international PR for India in an embarrassing way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally."
