Case filed against actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar for slapping and abusing man

A case against Mahesh Manjrekar has been filed. According to reports, the actor-director allegedly slapped a man and abused him in Pune. Reportedly, the incident took place near Yavat village on the Pune-Solapur highway on Friday. The complainant is named Kailas Satpute. 

According to the complainant, his vehicle hit Mahesh's car from behind after the filmmaker applied sudden brakes. Reportedly, Mahesh stepped out of the care and engaged in an argument with Satpute. Not just this, Satpute alleged that Mahesh went on to slap and abuse him. He then filed a complaint against Mahesh.

A police official told a media agency that a non-cognisable offence under relevant Indian Penal Code Sections has been registered against Mahesh. 

The actor-director is yet to issue a statement on this. He is currently working on his directorial titled Antim: The Final Truth. It stars Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma, Mahima Makwana and Nikitin Dheer.
