Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan to face some serious charges in drugs case, claims NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede

On Tuesday, actor Ajaz Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an alleged drugs case. According to reports, the Bigg Boss 7 participant was a part of a drug supply syndicate run by Farukh Batata and his son Shadab Batata. Ajaz was said to be in Rajasthan and as soon as he arrived at the Mumbai airport, the NCB took him into custody.

After Ajaz's arrest, Sameer Wankhede, NCB Zonal Director, told a leading daily that the investigating agency has found the actor's involvement in Shadab's case and will be facing some serious charges. "We have found his involvement in the Shadab Batata case and he is definitely facing some serious charges. His statement is being recorded at present," Mr. Wankhede told.

Reportedly, Farukh was also questioned on Tuesday in the same case for eight hours. After that, he was allowed to leave. On the other hand, Shadab was arrested last week and as per reports, he mentioned Ajaz's name during the interrogation.

In 2018, Ajaz was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai Police from a hotel after they discovered eight ecstasy tablets. The former Bigg Boss contestant was then charged with the possession of banned narcotics substances. Later, in July 2019, he was arrested for posting objectionable videos that could have promoted enmity among communities. In April last year, he was again arrested for allegedly uploading an objectionable Facebook post.
