On May 31, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Karan Mehra was accused by his wife, actress Nisha Rawal, of having an affair, taking her jewellery and beating her up. Karan was granted bail on June 1 after his arrest the night before following a complaint by Nisha over a domestic fight.

Now, a case of domestic violence has been filed against Karan Mehra at Mumbai's Goregaon Police Station. Nisha had registered a complaint against the actor recently. The case was filed on Friday (June 25). In her complaint, Nisha has accused Karan's family members - Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra of violence and exploitation. In her complaint, she has alleged that Karan had withdrawn more than Rs 1 crore from her bank account. The police is currently investigating the case and no one has been arrested as of now.

Earlier, Karan had said that he was framed by Nisha and her brother, Rohit Sethiya. Speaking about his troubled marriage with Nisha, the actor had said, "It is sad that after so many years of marriage this happened. We have been discussing this for the last one month because things have been a bit strange between us for a long time. So, we were thinking that if we should part ways or what should we do. So we were trying to fix things."

On the other hand, when Nisha addressed the media, she revealed that Karan has been having an extra-marital affair since October 2020. Nisha said that the girl is from Delhi and the affair started when Karan began staying away from his family and was shooting in Chandigarh for his TV show.
