Katrina Kaif -Vicky Kaushal Threat Case: Actors to record their statements with Mumbai Police; accused to be produced in court

Hours after actor couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal lodged an FIR against an unknown individual for giving them death threats on social media, the Mumbai Police arrested an accused on Monday. The couple had registered their complaint in the matter at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station yesterday morning only.

Now, according to Mumbai Police sources, the couple will be recording their statement today in the threat case. It is said that in their complaint, Vicky said that Katrina's stalker had all her information as he was following her for 3 months. The accused, identified as Manvinder Singh, will be produced in court today.

The stalker, identified as Manvinder Singh, is from Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and struggled to get work in films and TV series in Mumbai. The accused is a fan of actor Katrina Kaif. He has two social media profiles and both are filled with morphed photos and videos with Katrina. Mahinder has also mentioned that Katrina is his wife on his Instagram bio. Earlier, the struggling actor was said to be stalking Sonakshi Sinha and posting morphed photos with her.

Based on the complaint, the Santacruz police here have registered an FIR against the man under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking).
