Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui`s estranged wife, Aaliya Siddiqui, has accused him of trying to use his power to take custody of her children. She also accused him of raping her and filed a police complaint against him at Versova police station in Mumbai.
Aaliya took to her social media to share a video and make an appeal to the public. Calling the actor ‘badtameez’, she said that he and his family wanted custody of their children, Shora and Yaani. Accusing him of ‘misusing’ his power, she also claimed that Nawaz had no idea about how the children were brought up. Breaking down to tears, she also said, "Tum apne paise se kitne logo ko khareed lo, mere bache nahi cheen sakte tum mujhse... mujhse bache cheen ke kahan rakhega unhe? Mere bache kya reh lenge iske saath? Mere bacho ko toh pata bhi nahi baap kya hota hai (You can buy people with your money but you cannot steal my children. Where will you keep them? Will they stay with you? They don't even know what a father is)."
In the caption, she wrote in Hindi, "A great actor, who tries to be a great human being often! A heartless mother who calls my innocent child illegitimate and this man keeps quiet. A rape complaint (with proof) was filed at Versova police station yesterday. Whatever happens, I will not let my innocent children go into these heartless hands."
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui are engaged in a legal battle over their marriage for a long time now.
