Director and close friend of Kichcha Sudeep arrested in actor’s threat letter case

Last month, Kichcha Sudeep received a threat letter in which the sender threatened to leak his private videos on social media. The actor registered an FIR and even claimed that he knew the perpetrator who had sent it. Now, as a result of the investigation, Bengaluru Police has arrested film director and president of Sudeep Charitable Trust, Ramesh Kitty. Apparently, he is a close friend of the actor.

Reportedly, there was a misunderstanding between Kitty and Sudeep on handling trust funds. Kitty had alleged that he had invested Rs 2 crore and the actor had cheated him, hence he sent a threat letter to Sudeep. Police are investigating the matter further.

At the time of receiving the letter in April, Sudeep had said, “Yes, I have received a threat letter and I know who sent it to me. I know who the letter is from. It is from someone in the film industry. I will give a befitting reply to them. I will work in favour of those who stand by my side in my tough times.”
