Sushmita Sen celebrated daughter Rene’s 18th birthday on Tuesday. This was a special occasion for Sush and she made it more special with a grand party for her elder daughter. The celebration took place at home with their friends and family.

She shared their picture on her Instagram profile in which Rene looks adorable in a peach dress and Sush in an LBD and a glass of wine. She captioned it, ‘We are #Eighteen! Sushmita adopted Rene as an infant, in the year 2000, when the former Ms. Universe was just 25 years old. At the moment, it was a huge decision for Sush to adopt a girl child as a single mother and being an actress. But with her family’s support, she ended up making a unique statement at the peak of her career. Again in the year 2010, she adopted her second child, Alisha at the age of 35.

On the work front, after dabbling with multiple genres, Sushmita had revealed that she is keen on exploring romance. "I have explored comedy, horror films and the depth of drama and emotions. Now, I want to do an amazing romance in a romantic film. I want to do the role of a mature woman," shared the actress, who was last seen on silver screen in Bengali film Nirbaak (2016).
