After a number of successful films in his kitty director Rohit Shetty wishes to work with south superstar Junior NTR. "I would love to work with him but he is a very big star to be cast in my films," he says. The director recently acquired the rights of the superstar's Telegu hit film Temper which will star Bollywood hunk, Ranveer Singh. The actor-director duo has worked together last year for a brand endorsement, but this will be their first film collaboration.
The film is slated to go on floors mid next year and marks Ranveer's debut as a producer. "I am happy to have Ranveer as a producer and as an actor on my film," Rohit says, adding, "Since both of us are busy until next year we planned to work on it later. I have seen the original film and I am sure Ranveer will do complete justice to the role."
If we have a look at director past few films from Bol Bachchan to Singham, all have been remakes of South films, however, Rohit claims that this would be different from the rest.
The Khatron Ke Khiladi host finds the content of South films very interesting which compels him to make those films in Hindi. " I am a fan of South films and Temper is something that I liked. I will be incorporating some parts from the original but the script is entirely new keeping in mind the Hindi audience," says the director.
We all know that Rohit is the 'baap' of remakes and with Ranveer on board, the film looks a sure shot hit.
