Shahid Kapoor’s on a roll! Despite not having any hits recently, he is still a go to actor for directors. Currently, Shahid is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati which releases in December. And reports suggest that the actor will team up with the director again for a contemporary love story titled Tuesday and Friday. But Peeping Moon.com source confirms otherwise.

The news is that Shahid has signed Shree Narayan Singh’s film Roshini, instead. The duo met a couple of times to discuss the story and Shahid finally signed the film. The director has asked Shahid to be tight-lipped about the project until a formal announcement is made.

Shahid, who is yet to finish his shoot for Padmavati, is naturally super excited about Roshini. Like, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Roshini will be based on a social message.

It’s not yet confirmed who will be approached to work on the script, but Vipul. K. Rawal who conceived Roshini and earlier wrote Rustom will no longer be working on it.

Roshini, will be produced by Preena Arora's KriArj Entertainment and is slated to go on floors next year. Though it is still unknown which actress will be cast opposite Shahid, sources said a leading actress will be actress will be part of the film. "Shree will be meeting the actress this weekend and if everything goes well, they will announce the actress soon," he says.

If the source has to be believed, Shahid is left with 40 days shoot for Padmavati after which he will starting dubbing and promoting the film. Padmavati will be produced by Viacom 18 and will be released in 8000 screens.
