The couple that drinks/ holidays/ splurges together might not always stay together, but a duo that can match wits and chuckle together? Now we’re talking! Naturally, we were entranced by the trading of quips between Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder on Twitter but even the quick-tongued Shirish will have to admit that his wife did have the final word!

It started with Shirish sharing an angelic looking throwback picture of himself from his childhood days, captioning it in his usual tongue-in-cheek manner: “The last time I smiled for a photograph!”

Never one to let something pass without adding her two-bit to it, Farah promptly retorted: “Coz you were too young to realise what your mom had made you wear.” A pointed little dig at the retro-style clothes the childish Shirish was sporting in the pic, but he was not going to take this lying down. He returned with a jab that would have left any woman red in the face - “At least, I was wearing something. Unlike your childhood photographs.” But then Farah Khan ain’t any woman. She probably arched a brow as she delivered the final line: “You do know that I’ve just gone to Dubai, not Mars!! And I’ll be returning home soon...” And with that not-so-veiled threat, she put an end to any more smart ones from her hubby.

Despite not appearing like the conventionally matched couple, Khan and Kunder are clearly onto a good thing. She is fiercely protective of him, almost as much as she is of their triplets, Divya, Anya and Czar, even going against her old friends to stand by her husband. And underneath his flippant exterior, he’s devoted too. Their common trait of humour must help smoothen the rough edges; it does seem to be their main bonding glue. Here’s to more love laughter, not necessarily in that order!
