Forget Deepika Padukone’s stunning face or fabulous figure. All eyes everywhere are only glued to her ring-finger, which is not to be spotted without the embellishment of a beautiful diamond ring these days. And not any ol’ diamond ring; it’s supposedly the one that beau Ranveer Singh slipped onto her finger in London, in the presence of their close family. Fans of the Deepika-Ranveer love story couldn’t care less whether the couple speaks about it or not – who needs words when actions speak loud and clear here!

The ring is clearly no pretty li’l accessory chosen by a stylist; Deepika is wearing it everywhere. She did so at a recent comedy show in Bangalore, which she had attended with sister, Anisha Padukone. And yes, she has been wearing it on her secret holiday in London, with Ranveer.

Speculation grows that Ranveer did indeed pop the question and slip on the ring, as there has been a marked change in Deepika’s behaviour back in India. The otherwise image-conscious, propah-when-the-Press-is-around actress has been leaning more towards PDA of late. Eyes popped to see the couple attending the Ambanis’s Ganpati celebrations hands firmly clasped. And this itself came on the heels of photographs of their date night spent with Varun Dhawan, girlfriend Natasha Dalal and other friends. They were clearly throwing caution to the winds that night, oblivious to the fact that their closeness, as they partied at a lounge, had even been captured by curious cameras. A video did the rounds showing the couple wrapped up in close conversation with each other, even as she sat on his lap and he hugged her tightly. Like we said, most surprising behaviour from a girl who has always preferred to be most careful about her appearances in public.

The cynics are dismissing it as a possible publicity stunt for their upcoming film, Padmavati but that seems a tad too far-fetched. This time around, that little symbol of love does appear to have a ring of truth to it!
