Eager fans of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been tweeting to the team of Padmavati to release Ranveer Singh’s look from the film soon. Their appetites have been whetted already by the awe-inspiring poster of Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini and of Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh from the period drama that Bhansali released, rousing reception worldwide. According to a source, Bhansali who is superstitious and always on the lookout for auspicious dates has decided on Dushera for Ranveer’s first look. The director plans to release the poster of the actor as Alauddin on October 1. “Ranveer plays a baddie in film and what better day to reveal the poster than Dushera which is auspicious and marks the triumph of Lord Rama over the Demon King Ravana,” he said.

Bhansali had earlier told a leading daily, “I'm happy to bring the story of Padmavati to the screen. Navratri was a fitting date for us to launch the first look of the film and celebrate this auspicious occasion.”

Bhansali is aware of Ranveer’s fan following and he intends to cash on it. Hence, the Allaudin Khilji poster will have even more grand and opulent look as did the Rani Padmini and Maharawal Ratan Singh one. “Bhansali has created a shuddersome look for Ranveer.
