Residents of Pali Hill’s Cozy Home are so not feeling the love for the celebrity who once lived in their midst. Ever since Deepika Padukone took her issues over car-parking in her old building to the media and has threatened to take them to court, the feelings have taken a further hammering.
While Deepika believes she has a right to the parking space in her old building, her feeling is not shared by all the members of the society. What’s more, instead of attempting to settle the same amicably, they are furious that Ms.Padukone chose to rush to the media and blow the issue out of proportion.
Speaking on behalf of the Pali Hill Residents Association, Madhu Poplai, Secretary, has now reached out to the media as well to declare their shock that Deepika has resorted to going public over a small difference of opinion which, she claims, is definitely not a dispute. “I call her beta in almost every sentence I speak to her, and do you know that she threatened to go to the media talking against me and even drag me to Court?" says a furious Poplai.
It all started when Deepika apparently called the Secretary to say that she wanted to park her car in Cozy Home B Block compound (her flat is B 702). Madhu explained to her that it was not possible for her to get that facility because if a flat owner leaves his flat for more than 8 months, he/she cannot park his/her car in the premises. What’s more, if they had a tenant staying in their flat, then he/she should possess a car - which Deepika's tenant did not.
This apparently incensed Deepika so much that she told Poplai that she would see her in court.
The Cozy Home Society demolishes allegations of being unfair to Deepika because she is a celebrity. Instead they claim to have given her special permission to use the terrace for her yoga, and the lawn for her gym activities. They also claim that Deepika has not visited Cozy Home since the past 6-8 months, leave alone driving in and not being allowed to park.
…Still serious about that court threat, Deepika?
