When the Pancholis sent a defamation notice to Kangana Ranaut, all eyes and ears were trained for Ms. Ranaut’s response. Would she come out all guns blazing, blasting her ex-lover Aditya Pancholi and his wife Zarina, revealing even more scandalous tales of violence and abuse? Sorry, sensation-seekers, the response from the Kangana camp has been a tad too meek and mild.
Responding to the defamation notice, her lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee confirms that the defamation notice received by the Advocate representing Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab has been duly replied to. He claims that his client (Kangana), who has been a victim of crime, has largely spoken about her personal experiences, which were already reported on various media platforms since the year 2007. Siddiquee points out that the laws of the land do not give any added advantage to any male person to silence any (victim) woman under the threat of filing defamation proceedings against her.
Kangana had stirred up the entire controversy when she recently spoke about her abusive relationship with Aditya Pancholi on television show ‘Aap Ki Adaalat’. Her allegations didn’t go down well with Pancholi and his family, as he claimed that Kangana was a “mad girl”, and that she was lying and needed to prove his alleged abuse. Stating that the allegations had affected his family, he had confirmed that they would take legal action against her.
Wife Zarina too had come out to speak on different platforms against Kangana, demolishing her allegations. “I was just going through some stories on my mobile and I read Kangana has said ‘She (Zarina) used to treat her (Kangana) like a daughter…” This is completely untrue! When I knew she was dating my husband how can I say she’s like my daughter? That is ridiculous! Usually, I don’t react to such things but these two things have been really upsetting!”
Will Kangana come out and clear the air? The nation wants to know!
