Now that’s what we call clever marketing and trust the folks at YashRaj to seize the moment and lace it with some heartfelt emotion. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan, the lead pair of YRF’s upcoming Sui Dhaaga - Made In India, came together to make a noble noise. They released a special-teaser video of their forthcoming film, which is based on the concept of Make in India.
While paying tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary, the lead pair also divulged details about the subject of the film. In the video, they are seen talking about Mahatma Gandhi's Swadeshi Movement.

Varun tweeted, "A dream, #MadeInIndia. He made it happen for us. Team Sui Dhaaga bows down to Mahatma Gandhi," along with the video, as Anushka added, "To the man who began the #MadeInIndia journey. We salute the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi."
The spirit of all that Gandhi embodied was very much in the air, as Anushka also shared a picture of Mahatma Gandhi, along with his quote, adding: “His greatness was & is about understanding this & speaking it out to millions. May you all find that greatness in you. Happy #GandhiJayanti.”

Varun had earlier spoken about this mission, stating that from Gandhiji to current PM Modi, the leaders of our country have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. He shared his pride in being able to take the message of these leaders to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant. He also revealed that he really liked the script of Sui Dhaaga and is happy that he is teaming up with YRF on this film.
Equally pleased is Anushka with this story of self-reliance which, she believes, will connect at the grassroots level with every Indian.
Incidentally, Sui Dhaaga - Made In India, which has been written and directed by Sharat Katariya, will release in exactly a year from now, on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2018.
Like we said, great timing, Mr. Adi Chopra!
