Monica’s coming in February, no party at SRK's Mannat tonight!

Uh-oh, we stand corrected. And no fault of ours.

Sorry folks, there’s not going to be any party at Mannat tonight. Shah Rukh Khan will not be entertaining the Italian actress Monica Bellucci from Hollywood at a starry and glitzy pre-Diwali dinner bash.

Monica’s not coming to Mumbai. For reasons undisclosed. She’s broken several hearts. Probably SRK’s too – because the Bollywood Badshah knows her from before, the two actors have been friends ever since Monica saw Shah Rukh Khan’s Devdas and then met him in Morocco in 2015. And generous host that he is, SRK was looking forward to welcoming the former Bond girl to Mannat tonight where he was planning to introduce her to his friends from Bollywood.

Monica was coming for the Jio MAMI 19^th Mumbai Film Festival where a retrospective of her films is being held and where she would be honoured with the event’s first Trailblazer Award for her role in cinema. “It is very exciting to come to India for the first time,” Monica had said earlier in a statement.

And now the heartbreaking news by a video post this morning in which Monica Bellucci says, “I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to come to India but I’ll be there in February and I can’t wait to come to this beautiful country.”
