What is it with Deepika and her constant references to her ex, Ranbir Kapoor – yes, even when discussing romantic gestures?! The pair has been history since a while now and while she has moved on with Ranveer Singh romantically, she apparently can’t help make the little references she does to her ex.

The latest is when on a talk show, she was asked to share the most romantic thing someone has done for her. She thought for a second and then said, “The most romantic... Oh God! I'm sure there's a lot. But if I had to think of one thing that comes to my mind, it would be that I wanted to learn to play an instrument and the instrument arrived at my house a few days later.”

One does not need to have great deduction skills to know that the lady was referring to the piano that Ranbir had gifted her way back in 2012. The two had already parted ways by then, though it was clearly a difficult time for Deepika as Ranbir had already moved on with Katrina Kaif. During that period, they had bumped into each other at a party. During their conversation, DP had mentioned her interest in music and that she was thinking of taking piano lessons. In no time at all, a special delivery was made to her residence – a beautiful piano from her ex, who was probably being wracked by guilt!

And that is the gesture that’s still top of the mind for Deepika…

Not long ago, the Padmavati stunner made another unexpected reference to Ranbir, when she was asked on a talk show about Ranveer’s claim that she calls him every hour of the day. She had screeched her denial – “What? What? I don’t believe that! Guys, it’s a rumour.” Teased further about the umpteen calls, she shot back, “Why Ranveer? Why not somebody else?” Somebody else? Like who?? And her answer, “Okay, then Ranbir… I wish. I really wish.”

Now Ranveer Singh must really wish he could cure his gal of her ex-fixation!
