The director who had been busy researching and completing the script has begun a recce for Meter Chalu. At the same time, he is also looking forward to locking a leading lady in the coming days. It would be interesting to see which actress the director chooses to pair opposite Shahid.
The female lead will have a power-packed role and Shree who effectively used Bhumi Pednekar in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is determined to lock the right actress for it. Also, this character drives the story which makes Shree’s task even more challenging. The source said, “The actress will have to be someone who is very talented as Shree is very particular about choosing his leading ladies.”
Shree expressed his satisfaction in signing Shahid for Meter Chalu because he felt Shahid has proved his mettle as an actor and has an undeniable star presence. Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment also said the banner had immense faith in Shree’s directorial abilities after the success of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shahid would do complete justice to the script and his role. “It’s tailor-made for someone of his talent,” she is reported to have said.
