Top that with excellent reviews hailing it as a film that makes you laugh, cry and think – and sleep will finally come to Aamir Khan now, we hope!

The actor has revealed his nervousness about the film, even as he concluded nonstop promotions of the film across the country. A day before the release of his production, he shared on Twitter, “One day to go...tom the film releases all over (and on 20th in Turkey). I hope you all like it. Haven't been able to sleep for the past 1 week... fingers crossed... waiting for your reactions?? Love. a.”

Films are not just a business for Aamir Khan, even though he is a shrewd producer. The man literally pours his all into every aspect of his films and his hunger to see them succeed is tremendous.

His belief in his small film has been big and he had spoken about how Secret Superstar had many secret superstars in it, including the lead actress Zaira, and director Advati. “When you see the film, you will realise what a beautiful story he has written and how well he had made the film,” Aamir had vouched.

The ‘beautiful story’ of the 14-year-old Insia, who yearns to be a singer much to the anger of her dad, is already finding its share of love. It is difficult to stay unmoved by her story, as she decides to make her own YouTube channel in which she posts videos of herself singing while covering her face with a veil. She is then scouted by Aamir's character who is a music director and is impressed by Insia's musical gift. What’s not to like about the journey!

Considering the majority of Indians do not go to movie theatres on the occasion of Diwali, even though it is a holiday, the response over the coming days will hopefully give Aamir Khan more reason to catch up on some peaceful sleep!
