If you have been speculating why Team India skipper Virat Kohli has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to cut him some slack in December, don’t let your thoughts run towards marriage! That’s all that has been on the minds of fans of the swashbuckling captain who opted out of the second half of the home series against Sri Lanka in December. The thought that, finally, Virat is taking time off to get hitched to his gorgeous Bollywood actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma. Especially after the photogenic couple was recently seen in the commercial for men’s ethnic clothing brand Manyavar reciting wedding vows!

But Peeping Moon.com sources say that wedding bells are not going to ring for Virat and Anushka. At least not this December. And the reason is that Anushka may have marriage on her mind but she’s got her hands full with her home production Pari that releases in February. The film, reportedly “a mysterious love story” co-produced by Anushka’s Clean Slate Films and KriArj Entertainment and directed by debutant Prosit Roy, went on the floors in July. Anushka intends to set aside two whole months for its promotion from December.

But that’s not the only reason why there won’t be a wedding in December. The actress is also occupied with her new clothing line Nush which she launched last month. Sources say that Anushka has fashion shows lined up in Dubai and London in January and will be busy running around with them. That will leave her with no time for anything but her professional commitments. Unless, of course, Virat and she are hell-bent on getting married in 2017 and have a small and private ceremony in between her busy schedule. Cricketing sources pooh-pooh all talk of marriage and say that Virat genuinely has sought a break from cricket after playing pretty much non-stop for a while. He wants to be absolutely fresh and fit for the challenging series against South Africa in January.
