B-town is abuzz with rumours of Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh possibly coming together onscreen. The project in question might well be Salute, the biopic on India’s first astronaut Rakesh Sharma, which Aamir is co-producing along with Siddharth Roy Kapur. That Ranveer may well agree to be part of the production was given a boost as the trio in question caught up at Aamir’s Bandra residence, fuelling fervent rumours of a collaboration. Aamir generally stays away from awards functions; Ranveer generally loves them. However, when the two caught up with each other at the GQ awards show in Delhi, the chemistry was palpable! Ranveer, who had bagged Best Entertainer of the Year, was quick to share a snapshot of his with Aamir, who won an award for Creative Maverick of the Year. The caption he shared alongside? “THUG LIFE” Boy-crushing at its best, haha.

Back in 2016 when Aamir was asked to name the actor who showed most promise and would leave his stamp imprinted on Hindi cinema, he didn’t mention any of the Khans or Kapoors. Instead, he singled out Ranveer and Nawazuddin as the only actors who had the ability to really leave a mark.

Both actors are known to plunge deep into the layers of the character they play, going to great lengths to completely transform themselves. And yes, they are among the few actors of Hindi cinema who have actually shaved their heads for a film… Aamir did it for his portrayal of a revenge-seeking man suffering from short term memory loss in Ghajini, while Ranveer did likewise, winning accolades for his stunning portrayal of the great Maratha warrior, Peshwa Bajirao.

Don’t forget, they also shared the same car just days ago as they arrived for the final rites of Rani Mukerji’s late father.
