Now Nawaz withdraws his memoir… after grabbing all the possible attention!

Like we pointed out just the other day, glimpses of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s memoirs An Ordinary Life have created an extraordinary ruckus. And now as the hot water, the actor has found himself in with his tell-all autobiography grows hotter, comes the real shocker: Nawaz had decided to retract his book from the public eye! He conveyed via Twitter, “I am apologizing to everyone whose sentiments are hurt because of the chaos around my memoir An Ordinary Life. I hereby regret and decide to withdraw my book.”

Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee, who is representing the actor, states, “As the memoir of my client has inadvertently hurt the sensibilities of some people, he, therefore, does not wish to offend any person who is or has been close to him at one point in time. My client is therefore, in all fairness, withdrawing the said memoir.”

Nawaz’s revelations of the amorous kind, via published excerpts, have drawn severe criticism from Niharika Singh and Sunita Rajwar, amidst fresh reports that a complaint had also been registered with the National Commission for Women for outraging the modesty of the former.

Sunita went on to reveal the “real reason” why she left Nawazuddin. She has alleged that Nawaz has written many things from his own imagination as well as changed facts to show himself in a positive light. With great skill, he has called himself a bad person and with the same skill, he has blamed it on women, especially herself, because according to him, she was the reason he stopped believing in love and women and all his emotions died. Calling Nawazuddin a “sympathy seeker,” Sunita declared that he never misses an opportunity to make people feel sorry for him, whether it is for racist remarks made against him, tales of his impoverished background or his stint as a watchman in his early years. As to his claim that she left him because he was poor, she has shot back saying at least he had his own house; she was living at her friend's house, as a struggler.

The reason she called time on their relationship – within three shows of the play they did – was because she was disgusted at finding out that he had been sharing intimate details of their relationship with their common friends and making fun of it.

Niharika Singh is furious with the actor for not taking her consent before sharing their personal equation with the world in his memoir. “Nawaz and I had a brief relationship in 2009 during the making of Miss Lovely that lasted less than a few months. So today, when he paints me as a woman in fur enticing him into her bedroom with candles, or desperately calling him and emailing other women on his behalf, I can only laugh. He obviously wants to sell his book and it would appear that he is willing to exploit and disrespect a woman just to do so,” she said in a statement.

With Delhi-based advocate, Gautam Gulati, registering a complaint with the National Commission for Women (NCW) against Nawaz for outraging the modesty of Niharika Singh, the heat is reaching scalding point. Not desiring any further damage to himself, the actor has thus chosen the best way out.

An Ordinary Life, indeed!
