The alleged untitled film by director Aanad L Rai starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, has finally got its title! The film, which will see Khan essaying the role of a dwarf, has been in the news since its inception. Fuelling the curiosity of the fans, SRK, at the press meet on his 52nd birthday eve, revealed a lot juicier things about the film.
Batla was among the highly speculated names for the film but Shah Rukh quashed such reports and affirmed, "The title (for the film) has been decided. I think the poster is getting ready, but since there is a lot of time for its release, hence we won't release it so soon". The film is scheduled for a 2018 Christmas release as it involves VFX on large scale.
The said film stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma opposite Khan in the film. It also has a special sequence and dance number featuring Salman Khan and SRK, piquing audience interest in the movie.
Recently, Aanad expressed that he doesn't want his upcoming project with SRK to be called as a 'dwarf film'. In an interview, he said that 'dwarf is not the character' in his film, but just defines the size of his character. For Rai, he doesn't want fans to think it'll be a story of a dwarf, but more of a story of a short man.
SRK who is going through a rough patch in his career owing to his last films average business at the box office, is pinning high hopes on this one. And Aanad realizes the pressure that comes with it. "With our film, I know I will rectify his relationship with the audience. I can sense what people are seeking. I will be honest to my craft and will work hard for my audience. I won't let the reactions to his last films cloud my head right now. I am here to deliver and I will do a damn good job of it. Right now, we are having fun at work and I won't let anything change that," said the director in a previous interview.
The film has already become the talk of the town with cameos Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Karisma Kapoor in the film.
