There was a time when Preity Zinta was India’s reigning sweetheart, with great films and top directors in her kitty. With passing time she developed other interests such as becoming part owner in an IPL cricket team. Marriage to her American sweetheart, Gene Goodenough followed but our sprightly lass is a long way off from letting the grass grow under her feet – she’s scaling new heights now and having a ball doing it. No, we can’t deny how envious the sight of her pictures from her current holiday in South Africa is making us. She has been vacationing with Gene and has shared a video in which she talks about climbing the Lions Head and how great it feels to be at the top. That view from the top is something else!

Preity captioned the video, “Safari over and now it’s time to conquer the Mountains around Cape Town #lionshead #hikingqueen #topoftheworld #mountainchallenge #holiday Ting.” She has also been gushing, about how “Nothing can beat the feeling of climbing a mountain and reaching the top #lionshead #capetown #holiday #befit #Mountainchallenge.” The climbing bug has bitten the lass properly as she raves, “The need to go a little more higher after reaching the top of the mountain is motivation for this photo #lionshead”

Just two days ago, she had us giggling with her observation on the need for a daycare centre for husbands. She had shared a photograph of Gene with the caption, “We land in South Africa for our family holiday. Everyone is back at the hotel and my pati parmeshwar is here. Ting!” By here, she referred to just what she had been looking for – a husband care centre in Cape Town. Apparently while she could go ahead and shop, relax and have time to herself, Gene was delighted with the arrangement too.

Incidentally, this was not all play and holiday. Preity co-owns a local cricket team, The Stellenbosch Kings, who play in The T20 Global League, which kicked off on Friday, November 3. This owner of the Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab is sure going places!
