Salman Khan at 51 is no closer to the idea of marriage than he was in his torrid thirties. Of course, that doesn’t stop the optimistic media from trying to ask him when D-day could dawn!

In the course of a recent interview, the question popped up yet again – and yet again Salman showed us that he is blithely deaf to the call of the wedding bells. “I don’t have any answer to that question,” he stated, when asked when he would tie the knot. And then of course, he slipped into his usual mildly sarcastic mode, claiming that while he is really happy to see so many people so concerned about his wedding, “I’m genuinely puzzled about how they stand to gain from my wedding!” Still a brat, ain’t he!

He added that he has no answers at all at this point in time – neither a yes, nor a no, and not even a maybe. “If it happens, it happens. I’m very happy, in fact, I’m extremely happy,” he concluded.

The lovely Iulia Vantur should probably take solace in the fact that he is “extremely happy” at this point in time – a happy boyfriend could be more inclined towards matrimony, fingers crossed!

Just last week, she returned to the bay after a month-long stay abroad, due to supposed visa issues. Her return demolished rumours that things were strained between her and Salman, after his renewed closeness with Katrina Kaif, all through the filming of Tiger Zinda Hai. In fact, her star boyfriend had even sent his chauffeur-driven car to the airport to pick her up and whisk her across to him at his Panvel farmhouse. At this point in time, if Salman does miraculously discover the need to the tie the knot, Iulia would be the lucky lady, we guess.

Recently he had also shared, “It takes two to make a marriage, one difficult partner and the other easy-to-live-with… If it has to happen, it will. It might just happen one night, I’ll wake up in the morning to the thought, ‘Ho gayi hai, ab jhelo isse.”
