This Egg-Laying Hen Has Shah Rukh More Delighted Than AbRam, We Suspect!

“Journey with lil one makes me see places in a new light & also some new toys…” So tweeted SRK, in a slightly philosophical tone about how AbRam just makes his life better. And of course, we too are enthralled with AbRam’s new toy. It’s a rather hilarious one, as toys go: a hen that dips low and lays multi-coloured eggs! We bet his little tot must love the new addition to his mammoth collection of toys. It has got to be mammoth, considering he gets a new one almost every single day!

Not long ago, Shah Rukh had admitted that with his youngest son, he becomes a child himself. He had revealed, “AbRam gets a gift from me every day. There doesn't need to be a special day or Eid for a gift. He gets it 365 days of the year. I have a secret toy room for him where I keep hundreds of toys that I or my team buy or gets from people. He comes to me every day and I take out one new toy for him.”

If the doting daddy had his way, he would deluge his darling tot in toys; but mama Gauri argues for restraint. She has apparently set a 'one toy only' rule for SRK, because she doesn’t want him to spoil their little boy. “She has asked me not to indulge too much. So we have stuck to just one toy a day,” he had grinned.

Whether it is work trips around the country or abroad, SRK is often spotted either shopping for toys for his little angel, at airport duty-frees or even in the crowded streets of Gujarat.

As he once explained it, he himself loves playing with his kids’ toys as he never had any during his childhood. “I’m 51. I lost my dad when I was 14 or 15, and my mother when I was 25. That void never gets filled. If you lose your parents too early, you have to grow up too fast. You can’t play with toys, you have to start playing in the real world. I play with my children’s toys now. People find it odd and think perhaps I’m just a good father, but that’s not true. I’m just a father who didn’t have toys.” …And just like that he brings an egg-sized lump to our throat…
