Popular American singer Akon was in India for a private event and Neeta Lulla designed a jacket for him for the gig. The ace Indian designer says Akon is a gem of a person and designing for him is always a treat.
Akon came to India for a private appearance in Pune on Thursday and Friday.
Lulla had designed a navy blue jacket with floral embellishments from her Vrindavan Symphony collection for the "Lonely" hitmaker. She had also created designs for Akon earlier when he visited the country to launch his clothing line, read a statement.
"Akon is a gem of a person and designing for him is always a treat. It's a single breasted zip up jacket customised in the Indian crepe fabric. Keeping in mind his profession, we have inculcated musical instruments like tabla, sarangi and sitar motifs synthesised to create a youthful contemporary ensemble," Lulla said.
On the film front, Lulla is designing for Kangana Ranaut-starrer "Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi".
