It all started with a video which appeared on Instagram where Zaira Wasim alleged that she was molested by a co-passenger in Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight. As there was no complaint filed by her so the reporters had to figure out all the angles of the story including the actress' byte. So the reporters went to an event to take her byte.

The staff of Zaira and the people from the venue of the event misbehaved with media. We tried to request to not just Zaira but also her staff that we need a small reaction of hers. Her staff made us wait for hours promising that she will speak to the media. But despite that, once the event was over and when media tried to approach her, the entire staff started misbehaving. As reporters we all are used to of some chaos but when the staff misbehaved with a female journalist we all were shocked. When all this was going on the other people who were present at the venue were making allegations that Zaira is a woman and media should respect. But when we told them that a female journalist was manhandled we heard things like- oh she deserved it, but Zaira is upset n all that. We also went to the extend of saying that why is no one bothered about our colleague- just because she is not a bollywood actress; but nobody was bothered. Their concern was that their party was getting affected.

Shame on the staff of Zaira Wasim for doing all this- making false promises (promised by the actresses' manager Tuhin Sinha), manhandling a woman journalist. Also if this post ever reaches Ms Zaira wasim, I would like to ask why were you busy smiling when all this was happening? Why you, who said that was disturbed because of molestation incident was not at all affected when another woman was manhandled?
