Bhangra & Dhol in Tuscany: Wedding Venue pics for the Virushka wedding

We are absolutely crushing on the gorgeous Borgo Finocchieto, the reported venue of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding. Situated on six acres of hilltop grounds, 30 minutes south of Siena, it is a dream wedding destination. Of course, this heritage property might never be the same again, after the big, fat, noisy Punjabi wedding that Virushka have evidently planned!

Apparently, professional bhangra dancers have already reached the resort, and a high-security corridor has been thrown around the property with entry strictly restricted to guests with the invitation. The sounds of drums and dhol-nagare have been heard wafting out into the Tuscany countryside – not a sound one expects to hear at all in this idyllic atmosphere!

Word goes that the couple has instructed their wedding planner on their main requirement – a fun Punjabi wedding, celebrated with family and friends. They will have all of that, amidst the heritage borgo, which comprises five village houses and can accommodate up to

44 guests in 22 bedrooms surrounding a central piazza. The formal dining room and outdoor dining terrace, a spacious living room with a grand piano, a study, a screening room, library, bar, conference facility, wine tasting room, and professional teaching kitchen, which complement the elegant courtyard, piazza and rolling lawns and gardens spaces with some benches and a gazebo… the venue is bound to give the couple’s guests loads of opportunities to come together for fun, entertainment and relaxation.

The couple, meanwhile, still hasn’t confirmed their impending wedding, with Anushka’s spokesperson denying the wedding rumours completely. However, the speculation continues… Reports claim that Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Aditya Chopra, Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar will be on the wedding guest list. A grand reception for their close friends will follow in Mumbai on December 26, two days after the final game of the Sri Lanka tour, the third Twenty20 tie, is played in Mumbai.

…Still in denial mode, Virushka?
