One of the nicest wishes had to have been Karan Johar’s, who spoke for most of us when he tweeted, “Anushka and Virat’s wedding images have tapped into almost everyone’s romantic instincts!! The singles are feeling a pang and the couples are feeling the love...( or the lack of it) ....ok am going back to staring at them!”

While there was no message from Ranveer Singh (though he must have wished the couple privately), there was no missing the ‘like’ that the actor gave the pictures of the newlyweds. Ranveer and Anushka go back a long way. The duo was reportedly dating for a while during the time of their film Band Baja Baarat, even though neither confirmed that they were more than supportive co-stars.

Talking about Anushka later, Ranveer had said, “I respect Anushka a lot… Anushka is misunderstood as she is not manipulative. She is from an army background - very straightforward and righteous to the core.’’

Incidentally, that’s the quality husband Virat loves best about her too – her inherent honesty. A match made in heaven, we say!
