Kareena feels small in front of Soha, Saif spills family secrets at book launch!

Kareena Kapoor’s generous, open nature has clearly endeared her to husband Saif’s family. At the launch of sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan’s book, The Perils of Being Moderately Famous, she won further brownie points from her extended family. Speaking about Soha, Kareena stated, “If there is one person I am in awe of in this family, I think it is Soha Ali Khan. Whenever I am out on a dinner with Saif and Soha, I am like I am never going to understand this conversation. If Kunal Kemmu can't, there's no way that I can!” That brought on a deluge of chuckles, as expected.

Soha has apparently always tried to stay connected to Kareena. “Soha has always been so polite, she has always been like 'Ya, hi, what's up. Did you buy anything? So, what's the gossip?’ I am like, oh god, I feel so small.”

The Veere Di Wedding stunner also revealed, “If there's anyone in the family that we turn to when Amma (Sharmila Tagore) is all worked up, then it's just one person who can control the situation and it's Soha.”

Since the topic was books, Saif was also asked if he would ever consider writing a book. The actor, who is a great reader himself, declared, “If I ever write, it will be on comedy, horror or political satire.” He also revealed that once his mother Sharmila Tagore had wanted to write a book on him – and its title was ‘Oh Saif’! Known to have been an extremely mischievous brat as a child, that would have been a most appropriate title!

Soha herself pointed out that “there is a great difference between being a good reader and being able to write”. Speaking about how the book came into being, she shared, “I was a student of History in college, so we had to write a lot of essays, and since then a lot of people said you write so well, you should write a book someday. Of course, I love reading, but I have always said that there’s a great difference between being a good reader and being able to write.”
