Deepika-Ranveer send the biggest bouquet and warmest note to Virushka

Among the many gifts and bouquets that await the newlyweds in their swanky new home when they return from their Roman honeymoon, is a particularly massive bunch of exotic blooms. The accompanying card, carrying a heartfelt message and signed by both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, will convey warm congratulations to the couple. Yep, evidently, while social media watchers have been getting their knickers in a twist over Deepika not congratulating Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli on Twitter, the lady has simply chosen to keep her congratulations more private.

So, while it is a fact that unlike Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Kajol, and Sidharth Malhotra, who wished the newlyweds on the social networking site, and even Ranveer Singh, who liked their pictures on Instagram, Deepika opted for more personalised greetings for Virushka on their wedding.

Word has it, that Deepika wanted to keep her wishes more warm and personal, and sent a warm message to the couple privately. She apparently texted the couple individually after the wedding. And now the bountiful flowers send added sweetness. Preferring personal touch over the impersonality of social media, this is just the way the Padmavati stunner is, whether with her friends or her team.

What’s more, the old rivalry between her and Anushka has long been over and done with. Deepika has been very supportive of Anushka’s endeavours, and vice versa. Whether Ranveer did indeed breakup with Anushka to date Deepika is all speculation. It’s old hat, now. No more does Anushka pass sarcastic remarks about Deepika either.

It was Deepika who tried to extend an olive branch in 2015, when she warmly hugged Anushka at a Censor Board meeting attended by stars and politicians. The actress had particularly loved Anushka’s production NH10, while Anushka has been vocal in her support of Deepika's mission against depression. What’s more, when Shabana Azmi conceptualised the Deepika Bachao letter to be sent to the Prime Minister of India, Anushka was one of the first to sign on and even drummed up support, asking other actresses like Kangana Ranaut to join in.

Yet, all things considered, there will be more eyes glued to Anushka and Deepika, than possibly Anushka and Virat, at the Virushka wedding reception on December 26!
