The ‘letter’ from Taimur to his yum mum Kareena is hilarious!

Kareena Kapoor Khan has never been one to do things in half measure. The same applies, when it comes to her darling child. The gorgeous actress is absolutely dotty about Taimur – he turns one tomorrow, BTW – and as if further proof were needed, we saw it again on ‘Lux Golden Divas Baatein With Baadshah’ hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.

A good chunk of the conversation was devoted solely to motherhood in general, and Taimur in particular. Kareena spoke with touching honesty about her decision to be up and about during her pregnany… “It’s okay. I’ll be slightly overweight. My face will be chubby but it’s okay. Main kaam bhi karungi at the same time I’ll look after my child. And live my life normally.”

She dubbed the moment when she found out she was pregnant, as “the most joyous moment of my life”. She had made a conscious decision to work during her pregnancy, adding that she wanted to share the feeling of becoming a mother, with the world. And for Bebo, the experience was more than worth it… “I think my whole, dil aur dimage jo hai, is full of my son...Just pure love for my child. When I held Taimur for the first time…I don’t think I have loved before that.”

Speaking about the intense media attention that Taimur gets, she admitted, “Of course, I am afraid; he gets too much attention. But Saif and I had both decided that we don’t want to hide his face. Now whether we go to a function, or to the airport, there are cameras everywhere. There are camera phones, there is Press… In fact, I told Saif that I don’t think we should take him publicly so soon. But he was like, ‘No, I think it is fine. He is our son. We are so proud to have had our first child together and what’s wrong if he gets photographed?’ But of course I am a mother and there is naturally some nervousness and fear…”

The icing on the cake was the ‘letter’ that SRK claimed had been written by Taimur to his mother. Full of gibberish, Shah Rukh then went on to translate, “Just like you, I too love being photographed. My selfie pout isn’t perfect yet but I’m practicing it. Whenever I go out, my attitude, my dressing and my style become my statement. Thank you for being my guide! – Taimur” So apt!
