The Little Prince’s birthday festivities are on in earnest at the Pataudi palace. Sitting in the cozy circle of love of his parents on the green lawns, balloons floating happily in the background and kiddie-amusement paraphernalia adding cheer, it’s just about the loveliest birthday for a one-year-old princeling.

And then the palace itself is all decked out for Christmas, with bauble-decorated trees, spangled stars and pretty lights peeping into the frames. The lovely Kapoor sisters, Karisma and Kareena in turtleneck tops in shades of green, stunning as expected, their red lips adding the required touch of festive cheer!

Of course, we have to thank Karisma Kapoor who is playing Santa here, sharing pictures generously on Instagram, which she is captioning with hashtags such as #christmasfeels, #birthdayeve, and #pataudidiaries.

Among the guests already there are Kareena's cousin Zahaan and her still-dishy uncle Karan Kapoor, who is the younger son of the late Shashi Kapoor. And of course, there is no missing the mounted tiger also adding to the royal revelry!
This birthday break has afforded the family some great bonding time. The little toddler, along with parents Kareena and Saif, had left for the ancestral Pataudi palace five days before his first birthday. They were joined soon by his Karisma and his cousins, followed by Zahaan and Karan Kapoor. And we are waiting for the evening’s festivities to unroll for a further peek into the fun that will follow. There will be more family joining in, including the tot’s paternal grandma Sharmila Tagore and his aunts, Saba, Soha, and family.

From sporting a nifty pair of shades during the flight to Delhi to playing on the lawns, riding a horse with his dad, and even jamming atop a tractor, it has been just the kind of celebration for Taimur that Sharmila Tagore had vouched it would be. “He’s too young to understand, let alone appreciate large gatherings. So it will just be the family this birthday for Taimur,” she had informed. “I think it’s important for a child to do what he or she is comfortable with and not what we want for them.”
Meanwhile, the wishes on social media have also been coming in. Karisma shared a throwback picture with Taimur on Instagram, captioned, “Happy 1st birthday our little bundle of joy! #weloveyou #ourbabyboy #familyovereverything #throwback #specialmoments,” while Karan Johar shared a picture of the li’l chap playing with father Saif, captioned, “Happy birthday Taimur!!! I hope you enjoy your times with my babies (Yash and Roohi) as much as I have with your mom and dad!!!”
