Country's current favorite love-birds Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after returning from their destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy.

The Prime Minister's Office took to Twitter to share their meet, "Captain of the Indian cricket team @imVkohli and noted actor @AnushkaSharma met PM @narendramodi this evening. The Prime Minister congratulated them on their wedding."

The two tied the knot on December 11 in a secret ceremony at Milan at 11.30 am Italian time at the Borgo Finocchieto resort, 30 minutes south of Siena, which is reportedly a dream wedding destination. After taking the social media storm with the sudden announcement of their wedding on December 11, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and let their hair down and partied all night with their family and friends present in Tuscany, Italy.
The couple later celebrated their honeymoon in Rome. Anushka shared a picture with hubby Virat by her side, with a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains. She shared the picture on her Instagram, captioning it as, “In heaven, literally”, flaunting her spectacular engagement ring and heena-clad hands.

They will now host two receptions, one in New Delhi on December 21st for family and friends. And the other in Mumbai on December 26 for the industry friends and cricketers.
Later in the month, the two will travel to South Africa where the Indian captain will prep for the upcoming series and Anushka will spend New Year's Eve with him. On the work front, Anushka will return to her work commitments in the first week of January. Lined up is her shooting with Shah Rukh for Aanand L Rai’s Bauwaa. This will be followed by her next film with Varun Dhawan, Sui Dhaaga. February will see Anushka promoting her home production, Pari.
